As Delhi prepares for the swearing-in ceremony of its newly elected Chief Minister at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday, the Delhi Police has released an advisory regarding traffic diversions and restrictions to ensure smooth movement for VVIPs and event attendees. The advisory will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, impacting several major routes in the city.

Routes to Avoid
The following areas are expected to experience diversions and congestion:
- Raj Ghat, Subhash Park T-point, Benito Juarez Marg, and ITO-Delhi Gate stretch.
- Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, specifically the stretch between Delhi Gate and Guru Nanak Chowk.
- Aruna Asif Ali Road and Minto Road to Kamla Market roundabout, extending up to Hamdard Chowk.
- Ranjeet Singh Flyover to Turkman Gate stretch and the route from Ajmeri Gate to Kamla Market.
Guidelines for Commuters
- Travel to New Delhi Railway Station: Commuters heading to the New Delhi Railway Station are advised to use the Paharganj side instead of the Ajmeri Gate side.
- Public Transport Use: To avoid congestion, commuters are encouraged to rely on public transport and refrain from taking personal vehicles.
- Parking Instructions: Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking zones. Roadside parking is strictly prohibited to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The Delhi Police has urged residents and travelers to plan their routes in advance to avoid delays and inconvenience. Traffic police will be deployed across the restricted zones to assist commuters.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding the ceremony and traffic arrangements.
